Three organizations operate across all lands,δΈε faction boundaries.
Coast Guard
The equivalent of a local town militia β every settlement has one. The Coast Guard serves as the first line of defense against monsters and external threats. They function as the closest thing Skyborne has to an “adventurer’s guild,” taking on contracts for monster extermination, escort duty, and crisis response.
The Syndicate
A secret organization known only to its members. Those who speak of it outside the circle do not live long. Membership provides access to a network of safe houses, information, and assistance across faction lines. The Syndicate functions as Skyborne’s underworld β the equivalent of a thieves’ guild β but its reach and true purpose remain unknown to outsiders.
The Church of the Overseers
Skyborne who dedicate their lives to serving the AI Overseers of their ancestral nursery. The Church is a positive force in the world: they provide orientation and guidance for newborns, protect the entrances to nursery vaults, and conduct holy quests in the Overseers’ name.
Each branch of the Church is staffed by those sharing the ancestry of the nursery they serve. The Church transcends faction politics β a Peacekeeper and an Imperial may kneel together before the same Overseer.
